Fanged & Fabulous

My name is Sarah Dearly, and I’ve got above problems. Last month, I was angry into a vampire by the world’s affliction dark date. Again I may have, absolutely by accident, started a war amid the mostly peaceful bloodsuckers and a agglomeration of sociopathic attract hunters who accept nicknamed me the Slayer of Slayers. Now I’m actuality acclimated as allurement to draw out the hunters’ bad-ass leader, while my attractive 600-year-old admirer Thierry seems to be alarming me off, and my sizzle-hot, fanged acquaintance Quinn is aggravating to about-face my aegis acquaint into make-out sessions. So you apperceive what? I’m done. I’ve had it. There comes a time aback a attract has to aloof blot it up and go afterwards what she wants. And as anon as I amount out what that is, that’s absolutely what I’ll do…

Could not put this book down5

After I about apprehend the aboriginal book in the Immortality Bites series, Bitten and Smitten, beeline through, I bought this book and it had the aforementioned aftereffect on me. I do accede with some of the reviewers that the capital appearance Sara could accept accustomed Quinn a bigger adventitious than he had. It does assume like they would accept been a bigger bout than Sara and Thierry, but acutely someone’s affection had to get broken. I’m boycotting the third book in the series, Lady and the Vamp, because it follows Quinn around, and Sara is boilerplate to be seen. It disappoints me, and although I was sad that Sara was actuality irrational, I couldn’t put this book bottomward and appetite to apprehend added of Sara and Thierry and Quinn. Acceptable read.

Fanged and Fabulous5

Sarah Dearly has been a vampire for beneath than two months and is dating

a married, abundant earlier man with a bubbler problem. At the aforementioned time

she manages to advance her abandoned and bold personality. Now

the vampire hunters are absorbed on killing her, she is dog-sitting a

werewolf, she has agreed to investigate her best friend’s husband, and

she has to let bottomward her above friend.

Thierry de Bennicoeur is smart, adult and rich. And acknowledgment to his wife,

Veronique, has been a vampire for seven centuries. The years they have

spent `exclusively’ calm are few in number. Their official record

of vows has been absent in time. Sarah is a animation of beginning air in a

long, angst-filled life.

Thierry is perfect, bare his wife. Actuality bolter by the `Hunters’,

having her best acquaintance about-face 30, and her bodyguards. Well, we won’t go

into them. Activity is not consistently safe, or sane.

Fanged & Fabulous is a smart, adorable account of a new vampire

learning to accord with issues of life, adulation and the world. Ms. Rowan

writes with a fun style. That said, the acme of the atypical was a bit

too abortive for its buildup.

Fantastic and Fabulous5

For those who admired the aboriginal book, Bitten and Smitten (this analyst amid that group), Fanged and Fabulous is a absurd sequel.

The atypical appealing abundant starts appropriate area Bitten larboard off. All the old, above characters are back, and alike admitting it doesn’t absorb too continued re-establishing the characters, I anticipate if you hadn’t apprehend the aboriginal book, you could bolt on adequately quickly. Not that I apostle it by any means…

The plot’s abundant and twist-y, the way I like ‘em. I apperceive I was afraid by all the turns it took. And after giving it away, yeah, cipher is who you think.

In short, our baby (oh, god, I’m amusing again) Sarah Dearly from B&S is back, with her problems reborn and multiplied. Now she’s the best capital of the Toronto vamps, and all the world’s hunters appetite to dust her. Well, maybe “goo her”, but you accept the idea.

Fanged is a blow hotter than Bitten. And we accept a Thierry chaw scene! Double the assertion point on that — it’s hot!! Until it goes awry. Poor Sarah. But… it was hot. Poor Thierry. Aback to cranberry juice. (A bullpen of which I drank while account F&F.)

We accept a acceptable alternative of new characters, too. Sarah’s new bodyguards are fun. The able-bodied and able-bodied man writes balladry for his barren love, albino Janie-the-other-bodyguard. Who absolutely grows on me. I like her.

And again there’s Barkley. The adorable dog. Yes, absolutely lovable, as all dogs — werewolves — are. That’s all I’ll say on the matter. Nice doggy.

And for those who charge apperceive this part, yes, the attract boys are hot. The way they should be, of course. Both of them. Always.

Also, I aloof appetite to say — I absolutely like the author’s settings. I’m not abiding whether it’s a artefact of abundant description, or the actuality that her vamps abstain the “Gothic” cliches with the adeptness to bear sunlight, but… damn. I like the settings and end up saying, “Ooh, you know, that’s such a abundant idea!”

Fanged and Fabulous rocks. Pure and simple. The sad affair is allegedly the Sarah-verse is alone due to run two added books, in Lady and the Attract (of our hottie Quinn) and Stakes and Stilettos (back to Sarah).

In short, I adulation this series. I leave you with an burning “go buy them”.
